Even a composting neophyte can compost first class with the right recipe to make. Similar to cooking, composting is half art, half science. Knowledge of these fundamental factors that will help you get started. Like a chef cooking demands quality ingredients, a good fertilizer needs the best ingredients too. Good materials for composting include: grass clippings, leaves, plant stalks, hedge trimmings, old soil in the pot, twigs, vegetable waste, coffee filters and tea bags.Bad composting materials include: plants sick, weeds with seed heads, invasive weeds, pet feces, dead animals, bread and cereals, meat or fish parts, dairy products, grease, oil or foods. To prepare compost, has organic materials, microorganisms, air, water, and a small amount of nitrogen. Organic matter is what you are trying to analyze (see above to do and not do). Microorganisms are small forms of plant and animal life, that break the organic matter. A small amount of garden soil or manure provides sufficient microorganisms. The air, nitrogen and water provide a stimulating environment for microorganisms to produce fertilizer. Can enough nitrogen in the fertilizer with a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer., These can be purchased at hardware stores or nurseries. Air is the only ingredient that can not be too. Too much nitrogen can kill microbes, too much water causes insufficient air in pile.If microorganisms have more surface to feed on the materials decompose faster. Cut organic materials with a machete, or using a shredder or lawnmower to shred materials will help them break faster. The compost pile is your oven. Compost piles catch heat created by the activity of millions of micro-organisms. The minimum size for composting in hot, fast is 3 meters by 3 meters by 3 meters. But the posts wider or taller than 5 meters do not allow enough air to reach the microorganisms in the environment. Microorganisms compost pile work of its most difficult when the materials are in the moist sponge and removed many passages. The air in the pile is usually consumed faster than the fluid, so the pile should be turned or mixed occasionally adding more air, maintains the high temperatures and odor control. Use a fork, a rake or other garden tools can be established with the materials.
